Aerie Crinkle Birthday Scoop Cheekiest One-Piece
“After owning a one-piece from Aerie for years, it was finally time to get a new one,” says Glamour senior commerce editor Jenifer Calle, who’s 5'2" and a 34C, and wears a size medium in this ribbed Aerie suit. “I wore this green crinkled one-piece on a cruise recently and liked the coverage and fit. It’s slightly cheeky and I love the lower back exposure. My stomach doesn’t feel too sucked in which I prefer way over super compressive fits. But the only thing I don't love are the non-adjustable straps because sometimes they tend to fall to the side.” Its deeply scooped back and higher cut draw the eyes to your booty.

Pros & ConsPros- Comfy
- Has UPF 50 sun protection

Old Navy Half-Zip One-Piece Swimsuit
Glamour commerce director Brie Schwartz has sported Old Navy bathing suits since she was a tween—and though she’s added some designer swimwear to her closet, she keeps coming back to the brand. “I was so pleasantly surprised with this Old Navy one-piece. It felt as good on (if not better) than my more expensive swimwear, and the on-trend neon pink gives me happy nostalgic vibes,” she says. “It’s super soft and the cup lining offers just enough coverage that I don’t feel like I’m an R-rated movie, and while the straps aren’t adjustable, they also didn’t slip down while I swam. It also provides ample booty coverage without looking too granny.”
Sizes: XS–4X | Material: Recycled polyester, spandex | Colors: 3 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- Super cheap
- Comfortable
- UPF sun protection
Cons- Straps are not adjustable
- Boob lining could be thicker
- 3/28
Miraclesuit Rock Solid Madrid Bandeau One-Piece Swimsuit
The brand is called Miraclesuit for a reason: It makes figure-hugging swimsuits that support and look good. Its bathing suits with tummy control are ideal because of the slimming design—this ruched one-piece drapes diagonally across the stomach for extra control. “I’ve tried so many swimsuits, and this is the only suit that really fits,” an Amazon reviewer writes. “I’m large-busted with small hips, and this suit fits perfectly. It gives awesome support and doesn’t sag when wet.”
Sizes: 8–18 | Fabrics: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 13 | Padding: Yes
- 4/28
J.Crew Ruched V-Neck One-Piece
“I’ve worn this V-neck in classic black for more than five years and get compliments on it all the time,” Glamour commerce editor Malia Griggs says. “Its plunging cut draws attention to my smaller chest, which I like, and its ruching is loose and comfy against my midsection. I especially appreciate that its fabric has UPF 50 sun protection woven in! I actually wear the suit year-round as a bodysuit under skirts and pants.” The one-piece comes in a wide range of colors, includes long-torso sizing, has removable cups, and is (blessedly) machine-washable.
Sizes: 0–24 | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 11 | Padding: Yes (removable)
- 5/28
Free People Toast Solid High-Cut One-Piece Swimsuit
How gorgeous is this best-selling one-piece from Free People? Its deep scoop neck shows off some cleavage, while its super-high cut and extra-cheeky bottom pull focus to your legs and butt. The suit is easy to pull on, a little compressive, and comes in a multitude of splashy colors (like this beetroot pink, a sky blue, and yuzu yellow).
Sizes: XS–XL | Material: Microdenier polyester, spandex | Colors: 12 | Padding: No
Pros & ConsPros- Compressive
- Very cheeky
- Fun colors
Cons- Shoulder straps are not adjustable
- 6/28
Wrewing Reversible Tie-Shoulder Monokini
Two swimsuits in one? We’ll take it. Head over to Amazon’s swim section for this gorgeous one-piece that just happens to be reversible. Add a pop of color with a vibrant floral print on one side and keep it minimal with a simple baby-blue-and-white palette on the other. “I’m a sucker for all things bows—currently one of 2024’s biggest fashion trends—so when I saw this reversible suit on Amazon, I couldn’t resist, though I had my doubts that something only 20 bucks could be high enough quality to keep me looking snatched,” says Glamour’s Schwartz. “It really surprised me. Not only is the crazy-soft fabric thick enough to provide tummy control, but it also offers boob support, and the straps were easy to tie. Plus, it’s two suits in one. This was a big win.”
Sizes: XS–XL | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 11 (22 when reversed) | Padding: No
Pros & ConsPros- Super comfy
- Reversible
- Under $25
Cons- The bows take a little finessing
- 7/28
Andie The Full Coverage Amalfi One-Piece
Forget trends and high cuts—sometimes all you want is a classic suit that’ll last summer after summer. The Andie is our pick, especially if you're looking for coverage from top to bottom. “For days where I just want a little extra coverage, I always reach for my Andie Amalfi suit,” says Glamour reviewer Ana Lawrence. “While I love just laying out at the beach, I do consider myself a big swimmer, and this suit keeps everything secure no mater how choppy the waters are.”
Sizes: XS–XXL | Material: Recycled nylon, spandex | Colors: 10 | Padding: Yes (removable)
- 8/28
Summersalt The Perfect Wrap One-Piece
Summersalt is known for its breezy, versatile styles, fun colors and patterns, and generous sizing (including long-torso fits). “The Perfect Wrap has thin sewn-in boob pads that don’t shift or come out in the wash, which is a big pro!” says Glamour tester Katherine Howell-Kiser. “Also, you can adjust the wrap and make it tighter to achieve a more snatched looked if you want.” Its butt coverage is a little cheeky, and we appreciate that the suit is mostly made of a recycled material.
Sizes: 2–22 | Material: Recycled polyamide, spandex | Colors: 13 | Padding: Yes (sewn-in)
Pros & ConsPros- Really adjustable fit, from the straps to the waist
- Many pretty colorways and patterns

Cupshe One-Piece Swimsuit Wrap Color-Block Tie Side Bathing Suit
Not into cups or underwire in your swimwear? Not a problem. This comfortable wrap bathing suit has removable cups for a smooth, seamless finish—and the color-block design is a nice change-up from basic black. “After using this bathing suit all summer, I want to say that it held up so well,” one of the many Amazon reviewers says. “It’s so comfortable, easy to clean, and the ties are adorable. I plan on using this over and over again because the quality is amazing. The coverage is nice and keeps you feeling secure. I also got a ton of compliments on this bathing suit.”
Sizes: XXS–XXL | Material: Chinlon, spandex | Colors: 7 | Padding: Yes (removable)
- 10/28
Hunza G Domino Swim One-Piece
Glamour assistant market editor Kathleen Thomas was initially hesitant about buying a one-size-fits-all suit, but the Domino put her worries to bed. “It’s made of magical particles that somehow fit to the form so nicely and flatteringly,” she says. “My friends have also tried the suit and it looks amazing on all of them.” Its stretchy ribbed fabric is lightly compressive but comfy, and two rings along the thick straps add a retro vibe.
Sizes: One size only (fits 2–12) | Material: Nylon, Lycra spandex | Colors: 5 | Padding: No
- 11/28
Beach Riot Celine One Piece
This ribbed one-piece almost qualifies as a high-waist bikini, with two components that ultimately connect below the bust. We love how it shows some skin (a bare shoulder! a flash of abs and backA) without feeling too revealing, and that it comes in so many bold colors. The leg cut is high, and the back coverage is moderate.
Sizes: XS–XL | Material: Micronylon, spandex | Colors: 9 | Padding: No
- 12/28
Gooseberry One-Piece Cutout
Between the keyhole cutout, gold hardware that cinches you along the bust, and supportive double lining, it’s little wonder that this Gooseberry suit is a go-to for celebs. “I was intrigued by this one-piece initially because I knew Blake Lively was a fan—and who doesn’t want to be like Blake?” says Glamour senior editor Stephanie McNeal. “It soon became one of main suits in this summer’s rotation. I love how it’s chic and trendy while still not being so revealing that I can't wear it to my pool with my toddler—and I think the cutout in the front adds a little pizzazz. It also feels well-made, which is rare sometimes for a bathing suit.”
Sizes: XS–XL | Material: Polamide, elastane | Colors: 6 | Padding: No
Pros & ConsPros- Unique detailing
- Double-lining offers extra support
Cons- Fabric along boobs sometimes rolls
- 13/28
Cupshe Cutout Scallop Trim Bathing Suit
Amazon shoppers can’t get enough of this Cupshe one-piece. Yes, the scalloped design with its triangular cutout is supercute, but the majority of its more than 5,000 ratings mention how flattering its silhouette is. The fabric is very stretchy, and you don’t have to worry about any uncomfortable underwire up top. “I feel great that it won’t slip off or let things pop out in any way like other two-pieces do. And it is not bland like some one-piece swimwear is,” one Amazon reviewer writes. “The cups don’t push up and in, but that feels nice as they sit securely. I’m relieved that the suit covers my bum (most ride way up). I’ve had many compliments on the vintage look and quality and how the unique cut of the suit complements my body shape. It is easy to get on and off, and it seems like it will last.”
Sizes: XS–XXL | Material: Polyester, spandex | Colors: 4 | Padding: Yes (removable)
- 14/28
La Blanca Island Goddess Scoop One-Piece Swimsuit
The thing about Amazon is that you really can find anything, including swimsuits for every type of summer activity. This basic black one-piece with a classic scoop neck and supportive underwire for bigger boobs is elegant enough to wear all summer long. Bonus: Its lace-up back lets you control how fitted it is.
Sizes: 0–16 | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 3 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- Has panel along the stomach that pulls it in
Cons- Strong underwire
- 15/28
Madewell Ribbed Scoop-Neck One-Piece Swimsuit
Ribbing adds texture and compression to an otherwise basic swimsuit, making it a popular choice. “When I want to wear something different from my black one-pieces, I like this Madewell suit,” says Glamour's Griggs. “It’s high-cut along the legs without being too high-cut, and I love how poppy and fresh its orange colors are. I’m eyeing the cool pink too.”
Sizes: XXS–4X | Material: Recycled polyamide, spandex | Colors: 3 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- Has UPF 50 sun protection
- Plus sizing and long torso sizing available
Cons- Its cleavage cut is quite low and not adjustable
- 16/28
TA3 Squarey One-Piece Swimsuit
Glamour associate beauty editor Danielle Sinay calls this the only swimsuit she bothers wearing. “I have very large breasts (am currently a size 36F or G, for context) and never felt secure in any swimsuit I tried on unless I looked like I was going scuba diving with a team of grandmother nuns—meaning that only the most matronly and least cute options are what provided actual support. That is until I found TA3’s square-neck suit!” she says. “It essentially functions as gorgeous shapewear with a built-in bra. Ever since getting mine (which I now have in several colors), I actually feel comfortable going to—and running on—the beach!”
Sizes: XS–4X (up to K-cup bust sizing) | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 5 | Padding: Yes (removable)
- 17/28
Boden Rhodes Cup-Size Swimsuit
One thing you don’t see often in swimwear is bra sizing. This Boden one-piece fits according to your cup and measurements so you can get the most support—and coverage—for the girls. The Kate Middleton–beloved brand is a top pick for Glamour editors, too, and who could blame us? Pair this pretty suit with a red lip for the total 1950s pinup look. “This is my all-time favorite bathing suit,” says Glamour’s Schwartz. “It took decades to find a one-piece that could give me the same support, lift, and shape as a bikini top or a bra, so when I found Boden, I haven’t looked back. It comes in a variety of different prints, from tropical to preppy, and they wash so well without fading. Plus, they’re actually comfortable—no painful boning—and keep me sucked in. I’ve turned all of my friends on to them, too, and now they’re converts as well.”
Sizes: 32A–38DD | Material: Polyamide, spandex | Colors: 4 | Padding: Yes
- 18/28
L*Space Solstice Bitsy Cutout Colorblock One-Piece Swimsuit
Here’s the hot-girl summer one-piece swimsuit of your dreams: This L Space knockout mimics a yin and yang with its black-and-white color-blocking that’s split with a curve of cutouts along the bust, stomach, and back. “This is probably the most daring swimsuit I’ve ever owned,” says Glamour tester Emma Stein. “But hey, I’m proud of my body, and I love how its cutouts hug my curves to show some skin—without actually showing off more than feels comfortable.”
Sizes: XS–XL | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 3 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- Cheeky cut
- Fresh design
Cons- Material is very clingy
- No bust support
- 19/28
Tempt Me Women Off-Shoulder Ruffle One-Piece Swimsuit
Want to cover your bust and arms in a more subtle way? Snag this unique off-shoulder piece immediately. It still has straps for support but with a ruffled layer that keeps your chest hidden completely. Plus, we love the laser-cut lace detailing. “I bought this for a trip to Mexico and it was great. It was very comfy for all-day excursions, and I liked that I could put shorts or a skirt over it and it just looked like a regular top,” an Amazon reviewer writes. “It was also very flattering on my curvy figure. The suits are true to size and look great even after being washed.”
Sizes: XS–22 Plus | Material: Nylon, spandex | Colors: 10 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- Subtly hides bust and arms
- Convert into a strapless suit
Cons- Runs large
- 20/28
Left on Friday Weekender Suit
“I feel so sexy in this swimsuit—something I don't say often, if ever, about swimsuits,” says Glamour’s Griggs. “Its plunging neckline draws attention to my (smaller) boobs, but the material is lightly compressive and smoothing enough to keep them in place (as well as my tummy). I really like the crisscross and deep cut of the back as well, which pulls some attention to my butt without going overboard. Lastly, the color! I’m in love with this bright purple—it makes me look tan. The suit is so comfortable and cool that I wear it as a bodysuit—like I do in this picture.” The shoulder straps are not adjustable, but Griggs says this has never been an issue, as they stretch and hold shape.
Sizes: XS–XXL | Material: Nylon, polyester, Lycra spandex | Colors: 14 | Padding: No
Pros & ConsPros- Smoothing material
- Sexy plunging neck and back
- Dries quickly
Cons- No bust cups
- 21/28

The internet can’t get enough of Good American’s viral swimsuits. Each one is designed with a special fabric that stretches up and down in size to hug your body as it goes through natural fluctuations (making it one of the best maternity swimsuits and postpartum swimsuits). Its straps are adjustable, so the fit always works, and the high cut design is on-trend this summer. “The quality is phenomenal, it’s comfortable, and fits perfectly,” says a Good American reviewer. “I love that the material hides my insecurities. I wanted a one-piece that wasn’t a ‘mom’ one-piece and still felt appropriately sexy. It’s perfect!”

Pros & ConsPros- Huge range of plus sizing

Stylest DreamSculpt Puff Sleeve Zip
Long-sleeve swimsuits are a smart call for anyone who wants more sun protection (like surfers, say) or coverage. Glamour’s Schwartz particularly likes this Stylest suit’s versatility, which looks more like clothing than something you can swim in (and she's actually worn it as a top while on vacation). It has cute puff sleeves, built-in shapewear and a shelf bra, and UPF 50+ in the fabric.
Sizes: XS–2X | Material: Polyamide, elastane | Colors: 9 | Padding: No
- 23/28
Summersalt The Sidestroke One-Piece
Glamour tester Howell-Kiser calls the Sidestroke “very figure-flattering” and praises its double-layered fabric, which offers great stomach support. The modest one-shoulder suit shows a little skin while maintaining full coverage along the butt. Its wide range of sizing and tummy control make it an excellent postpartum swimsuit.

Pros & ConsPros- Strong tummy control
- Inclusive sizing
- Wide range of colors and patterns
Cons- No nipple coverage

Aokai Swim Haleiwa One-Piece Swimsuit
Out of her many swimsuits, this high-neck one-piece is a standout for professional surfer Anastasia Ashley. It’s largely made of comfy, stretchy recycled spandex and polyester, and its splashy floral pattern nods to the family-run business’s Hawaiian roots. “I love high-neck one-pieces,” Ashley says. “They feel sophisticated and fancy enough to wear with pants or shorts after the beach. This brand has the best patterns and colors, and I especially like this blue suit. Anything that’s tropical or ‘coconut girl’ fits my style.”
Sizes: XS–XS | Material: Recycled spandex and polyester | Colors: 1 | Padding: Yes (removable)
Pros & ConsPros- High neck that provides more bust coverage
- Sustainable fabric
Cons- Very high leg cut

Miraclesuit Twisted Sisters Adora Underwire Swim Dress
Miraclesuit’s stylish take on a swim dress cinches in your waist and stomach and looks damn good doing so. The side slit in its skirt shows off your leg while cleverly hiding your bikini line, and its underwire and plunging neckline push up your boobs while ensuring they don’t bounce around. “I was hesitant at the price, but after six months, I still love this swimsuit so much! So glad I took the splurge. It’s very flattering, smoothing, and the skirt is perfect without feeling too matronly,” an Amazon reviewer says.

What to consider when picking a one-piece swimsuit
When shopping for a one-piece swimsuit, it’s helpful to consider the fit and use. “You want your swimsuit to complement your body type and offer the right support,” says Sienna Mae Gomez, CEO of Siennaswim. Figure out where you want to wear the suit and for what activities. Lounging by the pool? Opt for some built-in bust support and/or a sleeveless style so you can avoid tan lines, says Sandra Davidoff, director of corporate marketing and public relations at Miraclesuit. Swimming, surfing, or playing beach volleyball? Choose a suit that’s high-neck enough to keep your boobs tucked away and/or long-sleeve so you’re protected from the sun. If you’re shopping for a plus-size swimsuit, look for suits that have ruching around the stomach for tummy control.
Many one-pieces even have UPF sun protection woven into their fabric. And if you’re planning to transition your suit from beach to boardwalk, take a look at simpler swimsuits that pair seamlessly with shorts or a cover-up.

How do you size yourself for a one-piece?
- “Measure the fullest part of your bust, your waist (the narrowest part), and your hips (the widest part),” says Monti Landers, founder of Riot Swim. Most brands include size charts, and you can use those three metrics as a guide in choosing the best one-piece for you.
- If you have a shorter or longer torso, one-piece swimsuits that have adjustable straps are a smart choice.
- If you’re shopping for a swimsuit for a large bust, choose a style that has built-in bust support like underwire and thick shoulder straps.
- If you’re different sizes on the top and bottom, look for one-pieces that have details like adjustable straps and ties along the shoulders and hips that allow you to more closely customize the fit.
- In between sizes? Go up, so you don’t feel too squeezed.
