Q&A

What is your wellness philosophy?

We have not only survived, but, ultimately flourished in our 200,000 year history. This tenacity and resilience is a manifestation of our highly cultivated and refined gene expression. For the most part, the diseases of modern man represent maladaptive gene expression brought on by environmental influences over which we have control. This understanding is empowering as it allows us to embrace the notion that, through our specific lifestyle choices we can rewrite our health destiny through changing genetic expression for the better.

What brought you into wellness?

My interest in wellness had its origins in early life as I was exposed to medicine, being the son of a neurosurgeon. Moving forward, like many, my interest in health and wellness was certainly influenced by personal desires for health as well as a profound degree of dissatisfaction and disillusionment with how the practice of medicine was being generally delineated.

What does You. We. All. mean to you?

Ultimately, my personal mission, and moving forward, my professional mission, is to rekindle the notion of connection. That is, to recognize the existential importance of relinquishing narcissism in favor of empathy. This means moving away from self interest in favor of connecting to the collective.

What empowers you?

I am empowered by curiosity, and more so, by the satisfaction of knowledge gained. I am empowered by the realization of my connectedness to nature, all humans, and the love I have for family and friends.

What renews you?

I am renewed by challenges. Fortunately, the deeper I get in to pursuing answers, the more challenges are presented.
