Q&A
What is your wellness philosophy?
For me, wellness is an active cultivation of human resilience — this includes one's immune system, mental health, and relational health. To maintain my own wellness, I focus on a combination of purpose and joy.
What brought you into wellness?
When I began training as a mental health professional in my 20s, I noticed that therapy was problem-centric, and not necessarily focused on a person's overall wellbeing. I knew then that I wanted to integrate all parts of my patients lives into my work with couples.
What does You. We. All. mean to you?
You is the ability to be thoughtful about others. We reminds us that we don't achieve anything alone. All implies an inclusive approach to life. No person or system exists in a vacuum. I tend to take a global and systemic view of everything.
